Ghost

A deceased being appearing in spirit form, perceived visually, audibly, or through environmental disturbance. Source: “A word used to describe something that was once living and is now deceased but appearing… in spirit form.”

Glowstick Effect

A psychological and spiritual misconception in which individuals are encouraged to repress trauma or emotional pain under the guise of “elevating vibration,” leading to harmful outcomes. Source: “People exploiting the auric field… convince people they can simply elevate all pain… repressing themselves into never feeling anything… proven to cause serious… outcomes.”

Guardian Angel

A celestial being believed to protect and guide a person throughout childhood and often throughout life. Source: “A heavenly angel… watched over, protect, and assist human beings… Many believe the angel continues on… throughout their entire lives.”

Haunting

Repeated manifestations of a ghost, spirit, poltergeist, demon, or supernatural energy within a location. Source: “The occurrence of a ghost, spirit, poltergeist, demon, or supernatural energy that is repeatedly appearing.”

Hex

A magical curse, spell, or ritual intended to cause harm or misfortune. Source: “A magical spell… or curse placed on someone… associated with dark art practices.”

Hydromancy

Divination performed using water as the reflective or interpretive medium. Source: “The practice of divination using water.”

Hypnosis

An altered state of consciousness characterized by heightened suggestibility, induced by a practitioner or self‑initiated. Source: “The altered state of awareness… open to the mere power of suggestion… found within the unconscious mind.”

Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC)

The use of technology—such as radios, televisions, recorders, or computers—to facilitate two‑way communication between the living and the spirit world. Source: “Using technology… to acquire two‑way communication… sometimes other divination such as water or fire.”

Intelligent Haunting

A haunting involving a spirit with conscious awareness of its death and continued presence among the living. Source: “The haunting of a spirit with conscience awareness that it has died… and has not crossed over.”

Intuition

An instinctive understanding or perception without conscious reasoning or external cues. Source: “Without using conscious thought… a person is instinctively able to understand something.”
